We are thrilled to announce that Fragmetric has partnered with Sonic, the first gaming-specific Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) on Solana! Through this collaboration, we will help secure Sonic's HyperGrid by running a dedicated node with Restaking Protocols (Jito (Re)Staking, Solayer and etc.). Our efforts will help to secure the HyperGrid Shared State Network (HSSN) and the HyperGrid Bridge, which are critical components of Sonic's vision to hyperscale the Solana network.
Scaling Solana with Sonic
Sonic is designed to push the limits of performance on Solana, particularly for gaming. Sonic aims to achieve hyper accelerated transaction execution using merklelized state compression over Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus on it’s state network. This creates an ideal environment for game development, allowing for high-frequency, low-latency interactions that are essential in modern decentralized games. Fragmetric is excited to play an important role in securing this next-generation infrastructure.
Our Role in Securing the HyperGrid Network
Fragmetric, as a Liquid Restaking Token (LRT), will contribute to Sonic's HyperGrid security by preventing state collisions and ensuring secure, trustless interactions across multiple SVMs. We will support the HSSN via our dedicated HyperGrid node operation, which validates state transitions and allows for seamless interoperability with the Solana network. Furthermore, our participation in the HyperGrid Bridge will boost performance via allowing efficient and secure atomic swaps between different SVMs.
Looking ahead
We are very excited about our collaboration with Sonic and what it means for hyperscaling Solana's network. As Sonic continues to break new ground in gaming and scalability, we are excited to be at the forefront of this transformation.
