Ping Network is built on top of Solana, using it as the foundation for all critical onchain operations, including token logic, reward distribution, and validator registry updates. To secure its validator layer, Ping integrates Jito (Re)staking, allowing validators to lock liquidity while earning additional rewards. This model supports economic security and enables slashing mechanisms for validators who misbehave or underperform.

As the exclusive Jito (Re)staking VRT provider for Ping NCN, Fragmetric strengthens the Ping Network by helping validate Ping Operators.

Ping NCN

The Ping NCN is a decentralized validation layer that tracks and coordinates the performance of real, globally distributed devices sharing Internet bandwidth. It enables trustless discovery and coordination between nodes and validators:

  • Validators publish node’s metadata (IP, uptime, performance) to a Solana-based oracle
  • Nodes query this oracle to find available validators
  • Nodes then submit signed proofs to validators

What Fragmetric does

  1. As a VRT provider, Fragmetric performs delegation rebalancing, ensuring that stake is dynamically adjusted based on the performance of node operators who opt into the (re)staking.
  2. Fragmetric's FRAG-22 standard, leveraging the transfer hook of Solana's Token Extensions, ensures the fair and accurate distribution of Ping NCN rewards to restakers.

Why does this matter

Fragmetric enables infrastructure-native networks like Ping to join onchain validation systems without having to build validator infrastructure from scratch. By connecting to Fragmetric, Ping can:

  • Receive stake from external contributors via vaults
  • Provide validator performance metrics through its API
  • Join the broader modular restaking ecosystem alongside Jito, Switchboard, and more

With uptime, latency, and global distribution at its core, Ping’s infrastructure can now seamlessly participate in programmable staking environments.
